Meet Cynthia — The Heart Behind Soul Event Planning

For me, event planning is about more than choosing a venue, creating a timeline, or coordinating vendors. It’s about understanding the meaning behind each occasion and bringing together the thoughtful details that make every celebration personal, memorable, and uniquely yours.

Experience Built on Organization and Care

My journey in event planning began through years of coordinating elementary and state-level PTA events. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in:

  • Budgeting and expense management

  • Vendor and venue coordination

  • Meal planning and entertainment

  • Guest speakers and seating arrangements

  • Event materials, favors, and centerpieces

  • Scheduling and day-of coordination

I learned how to create meaningful experiences while working within established budgets. Through donations, community partnerships, and creative planning, I was often able to reduce expenses without compromising the quality or vision of an event.

Creating Events That Tell a Story

Over time, I discovered that one of my greatest strengths is creating celebrations that reflect the people, relationships, and memories at the heart of each occasion.

For a surprise 25th wedding anniversary celebration, I recreated meaningful elements from the couple’s original wedding day and brought them into a fresh, elegant setting. I coordinated the venue and meal, gathered photographs, worked with a vendor to recreate details from their original wedding cake, and designed centerpieces inspired by the bouquets carried by members of their bridal party.

Every detail was thoughtfully chosen to honor the couple’s journey together. Seeing their reactions as they recognized those special touches reinforced what I believe most: the most memorable events are the ones that tell your story.

Turning Memories Into Keepsakes

For an 80th birthday brunch, I worked closely with the family to create a celebration centered around a lifetime of memories.

Family photographs were gathered and professionally transformed into a keepsake video, giving guests an opportunity to watch, reminisce, laugh, and celebrate together.

The finished video became more than just part of the celebration—it became a treasured family keepsake that could be enjoyed for years to come and shared with future generations.

Professional Coordination With a Personal Touch

My experience also includes coordinating events for a private business, where organization, communication, and attention to timing are essential. My responsibilities include managing guest registration and payments, scheduling appointments, maintaining efficient event timelines, and helping ensure every guest receives a welcoming and well-organized experience.

These experiences have shaped the approach I bring to Soul Event Planning today.
